Roberto Oliván Iglesias has been farming his eight hectare family estate, Tentenublo, in the high, wind-swept Basque country of the Rioja Alavesa since 2011. Working organically, using native yeast fermentation, and limited sulphur, Roberto draws upon Rioja’s long established protocol of barrel aging (working mainly with French oak), to craft deeply personal wines of substance and character.


Producued from Tempranillo co-fermented with a hefty 20% chunk of Viura, from vines inherited from his grandfather, Roberto Olivan's Xerico is yet another example of modern day Rioja looking back to its roots, producing something wholly original and delicious in the process. Fermented and aged in a combination of concrete and chestnut foudre for five months, this red shows savory dark fruits, a somewhat farmy though fresh aromatic profile, and an overall character marked by a natural wine informed approach. Do not expect rich fruit or generous, spicy oak driven note. Do saddle up for a fairly wild ride. Natural wine fans and Rioja completists alike, giddy up.

    Delivery is free within the Columbus, Ohio metro area with a minumum order of $75. We do deliveries TUESDAYS & SATURDAYS, and will contact you via text message the day of your delivery to arrange drop-off. ID showing age 21 or older will be checked at time of delivery.


    Same-day curbside pick-up is available every day that we are open. Order at least 2 hours beofre closing time to ensure same-day pick-up. If you would like to order curbside closer to closing time, please do so by phone.
