Shacksbury Vermont Ciders

Shacksbury Vermont Ciders

notes from the producer:

Shacksbury is a cidery located in the Champlain Valley of Vermont, a place defined by community and an outdoor active lifestyle. As Vermonters, we thrive on nature. Shacksbury is no exception. We make complex ciders that are always pushing forward, while never straying far from that natural beauty our home state is known for.

Our core ciders represent our tried-and-true favorites — the ciders we return to again and again, designed to delight cider enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Though they vary in style, these ciders share a commitment to slow fermentations, no added sugar and are always gluten free.

ROSÉ

Cider made like a rosé wine

When we set out to make a rosé cider, we knew we wanted to pay homage to our friends in the winemaking world. Shacksbury Rosé earns its color from aging on Syrah and Zinfandel grape skins, which brings added tannin and flavor to this cider.

  • ABV: 5.5%

  • No added sugar

  • Gluten free

VERMONTER

Cider with gin botanicals

The Vermonter is a dry, gin botanical cider made by slowly fermenting apples and adding juniper berries. The resulting cider is homegrown but refined, with a taste of alpine meadows, spring wildflowers, and the Green Mountains themselves.

  • ABV: 6.0%

  • No added sugar

  • Gluten free

ARLO - OUR TAKE ON A BASQUE CIDER

Adventurous, tart, and 0 sugar

Arlo is our porrón-worthy take on Basque style cider — super dry funky and fresh. This cider is a blend of our apples and apples from our longtime friends at Petritegi Sagardoa, in Spain. This complex blend is aged in a mix of neutral chestnut barrels and stainless and native yeast fermented. The resulting cider is downright refreshing.

  • ABV: 6.0%

  • Basque Apples + New England Apples

  • No added sugar

CHAMPLAIN

Yup, it’s the “Champlain” of ciders. We figured what better way to say goodbye to 2020 than to pop some bottles, and Champlain is here to celebrate. Our newest release to feature wild foraged apples from the Lost Apple Project, this cider balances bright acidity with structured tannins from all those wild little apples.

  • Wild and cultivated apples

  • Native Yeast

  • Zero sugar
